Default Atx vs Btx

I was getting really close the buying a new computer, when my friend told me about the new BTX technology. Do you think it would be best to wait for it? or would I be fine just sticking with ATX for now? I kinda wanted to go Amd, but BTX is intel..so I am assuming that it won't be supporting Amd? Any suggestions?

I don't wait either. I believe in letting the rest of "technological-civilization" test run and work out all the bugs for a while before i jump to something new. This means if something just came out or is about to come out, i don't get it for a while.

the other thing that happens is when new stuff comes out all the prices on the current stuff goes down. so you can get a better cpu/ram etc since you saved money by waiting for the prices to drop on the current stuff.

I personally would wait for the new technology to come out, then when the hardware that was previously top-of-the-line falls in price, that's when you buy
