Attend Microsoft’s TechEd 2009 Australia Get Free Netbook

I’ve seen some pretty good giveaways at tech events before but I think getting a free HP 2140 Netbook takes the cake.

If you're in Australia, or you feel like you needed a good excuse to go walk about down under, then I'd recommend you register for the Australian TechEd 2009 conference. Attendees of the conference will then receive a free HP Netbook 2140, powered by an Intel Atom N270 processor, running Windows 7.

If they didn't give away a netbook when tickets are that expensive, I would be horrified.

Also, i find this insulting:

RECESSION BUSTER ticket price: Save $300 with Early Bird
Yeah, because anyone suffering from the recession can afford a $2000 ticket in the first place. Jerks.
