Question ATi and SLi

Does ATi support SLi? I dont really know, I have been looking around on the internet, but I always end up getting sidetracked... If anyone knows please fill me in. Thanks in advance.

Yeah, It's actually probably better than SLI 'cause you can mix cards.

Yeah, if you have an X800 you can use it with a X850 or X900. Not sure about X300, X600 or X700, but I don't see why not.

It is better, because ati's crossfire beat nVIDIA's current best benchmarks.

ATi always beats nVIDIA's benchmarks, but then on most games it turns around most of the time on ATi.

Also, doesn't crossfire use a checkerboard style instead of the 2 screen style, so both GPUS will have similar strain put on them?
