I was wondering if I should get a 64 bit 128mb 9600SE or 128 bit 128mb 9600 SE. The 128 bit is 8 bucks more, and I was wondering if it is worth it.

I was looking at these 3

SAPPHIRE ATI RADEON 9600SE Video Card, 128MB DDR, 64-bit, DVI/TV-Out, 8X AGP, Model "ATLANTIS RADEON 9600SE" -RETAIL $71

APOLLO ATI RADEON 9600SE Video Card, 128MB DDR, 128-bit, DVI/TV-Out, 8X AGP, Model "DEVIL MONSTER 3 RADEON 9600SE" -RETAIL $80

ASUS ATI RADEON 9600SE Video Card, 128MB DDR, 64-bit, DVI/TV-Out, 8X AGP, Model "9600SE/TD" -RETAIL $82

Which one is a better deal?

Thanx

Go for the Sapphire, that $8 isn't much of anything, but only 8 dollars I guess you could. I hate SE editions, they are always worse than the original versions.

I would recommend getting a different card. The 9600 SE performs ALMOST as bad as the GF 4 440.

Unless you already knew this and just wanted a card with DX9 support for cheap. i wouldnt recommend buying it.

For cards that perform as poorly as some in these benchmarks, having DX9 support hardly matters since it wont run any games with DX9 enhanced features well at all anyway. Just my .02.

I agree 100% buy a diffrent card.

I couldn't find a 9600 non SE edition. If you find one on newegg, well I expect it about 80 bucks, tell me.

Ok, 9600PRO or XT are like 150 bucks, and I am not going to get one of those. Tell me which is better: 9600SE 128MB DDR 128-bit or nVidia GeForce 4 FX 5200 128MB DDR 128-bit. I will only get one of these 2. I am on a budget and I don't wanna spend more than 80 bucks on a video card.
Thanx

The pro is 125 on Pricewatch. The SE really is a very low level card. Try and shovel some snow/mow some lawns/work some overtime for the few extra bucks, the video card will last you a year longer.

yeah i totally agree, you should get a 9600 Pro for a descent but inexpensive card, I myself would go with an XT but the Pro is a lot better than the SE for its money
