Default ATI or Nvidia?

What is your opinion? I personally think ATI is much better than Nvidia. When it comes down to it, I think Nvidia is better for animations of movies and such, while ATI is better for gaming quality and graphics. Nvidia is also a little higher up there on the price scale. I got to personally test a Radeon x800 XT vs. a Nvidia 6800 Ultra, and I found that I liked the x800 XT much better.
