Default ATI or GeForce?

Which do you prefer, ATI or GeForce? And your reasons for your choice and against the other.

Espisally when you compare 2 company's no one is better. Some ATI cards kill the same range geforce. Some same range geforce kill ATI's.

Nvidia sucks though, and so does ATI.

Then what do you suggest?
ATI killed GeForce in the days before the 6000s. Now with the 6600 and the 6800, ATIs X800 doesn't seem to be as good.

And if you compare 2 companies cards from the same timeframe, Both cards have there weaknesses and strong points. If you run like 10 benchmarks on them, you could probably split the winnings from each card down the middle. One thing i look at is expandability. The x800 cars dont have support for pixel shader 3.0, geforce does. But by the time they use that, both cards will probably be looked at as slow

Just look at the benchmarks. In Doom 3, Nvidia's cards beat ATI's same priced cards by more that 50 frames per second in cases. ATI really messed up on the X800 IMO.

Oh bloody hell. Not another freaking ATI-vs-NVIDIA thread.

These are starting to get to be as bad as the free-iPod threads as far as annoyance is concerned.

Do a search, pal...search!
