no .. workstation cards are never good for gaming, and here's why.
Workstation cards place extreme emphasis on accuracy, and while gaming cards are very accurate workstation cards "spend" extra clock cycles verifying and making everything perfect. I'm sure that there are other workstation specific features that only apply to CADD (and other various 3d things) but what I just gave you is the main reason.
Btw.. I have experience with the fire gl x1 and 9700 pro. You will not see any benefits from using a workstation card instead of a consumer card directed at gamers.
