The X800 regular is probably the equivalent to the 6600GT. It would have been the X700XT, but it doesn't look like they are going to be comming out with that one.

I allways buy the best performer for the money . I was looking for ATI to rebound in a much better fashion but Nvidia has truly developed a killer chip.It doesnt look like ATI will be able to gain back the throne any time soon or at least i dont see anything to
make me think otherwise yet.

Well ATI's X850 series is going to win it for them in the single card category.
Have a look at these benchmarks.
