Stick with the 6600 GT, the ATi value cards have been demolished by nVIDIA.

Between the x800 series and the GeForce 6 series, most will tell you to go with the GeForce cards.

yep, yep. the 6600gt has totally ruined the former value cards, the 9800's. go with 6600gt

Well ATI had made the X600 which WAS supposed to be the equivelant but they pretty much screwed that one over as the 6600GT just completely destroys it. The only other alternative would probably be the X700, but even here:

the 6600GT wins most of the benches against the X700 Pro

^^lol, isn't the X600 on par with a 9600xt?? i think i remember seeing that in benchmarks. if that was suppposed to compete with a 6600gt, what a horrible failure

The X800 standard will be the equivalent of the 6600GT. Stick with the 6600GT, it is the best bang for the buck.

6600gt is great value for money, the 6800gt is probly the only card with a better performance to cost ratio.

yeah you can flash the 6800Gt bios to a 6800Ultra, those two are the same cards except they have different stock specs due to diff bios
