so i got the 9600se, connect 3D, and my mate said i could get drivers and overclock it to get the same performance as a 9600pro. was he telling the truth and if so how?!

It is possible, what you have to is use the bios flash of the XT on your SE. You will get almost identical performance from your se card.

Yeah, its possible, but overclocking is dangerous, and makes it alot easier to fry your board, or processor, resulting in much more money spent.

ok, so im thinking about flashing my bios then. any sies with info on it and how to do it? my specs

k7t266 pro2 msi mainboard
amd 1333+xp oc'ed to 1.6
512 corsair ram

I say that you should over clock it but makesure that you have decent cooling in or around it

i tried overclocking it, and i get to a point when games just crash. but this point is only alightly better performance compared to the card when it isn't overclocked
