I think crossfire will fall to the wayside after ATI launches the new X900 series. Some of the higher models will compete very closely with an SLI system.

Although, ATI delivering a dual card solution would drastically increase sales in the enthusist market. We'll see!

with the latest ati cards falling behind nvidias latest or even their not so latest (6 series) i think that at least for now sli is better i mean look at the scores a single 7800 gtx can beat the ati crossfire cards. i guess it depends on who you like more but to me it should depend on the better card not who you like. i have had ati cards and nvidia cards and i like both brands and while i prefer nvidia ati has some awesome cards that in their time where better than the nvidia alternative.

ITs a toss u[p between each generation. The 9*** series beat the hell outa the FX series but yet the 6*** series beat the hell outa the X8** series so its just a diff between generations. Each card is awesome in its own way and synthetic benchmarking shouldnt really be used to say which one is better. I think personaly in game benching is the way to go, not 3dmark and stuff like that. I would rather see what a cards in game performance is like not how its going to render a pretty scenery like dragonfly or w/e it is.
