venus 12 = loud

zalman will give you the same if not better cooling performance than a lot of other coolers for almost no noise. This is the trade-off for it being 133mm in diameter, and over 2 pounds heavy.

I use xp-120 with the FX-55, and later today i will get GOOD temp readings for you.

The old board i had sucked with temperature readings and this board is awesome, but I'm having minor boot problems, hold your horses a day and you'll get some good insight.

EDIT::: Here this will be helpful: http://www.thermalright.com/a_page/m...d_xp120_k8.htm

If you haven't bought the FX-55 yet, hold on a bit longer man, San Diego will run cooler and overclock better than the Claw/Sledgehammer cores that are out now.

Thermaltake Tower112 is a beast of a heatsink, heatpipes are really the most efficent way of moving heat and this thing runs pretty quiet too.
