Default .: ASUS vs ABIT :.

Which motherboard is better (not performance to price ratio - whats better overall)?

ABIT KV8-MAX3 ($219)

ASUS K8V SE Deluxe ($185)

I am going to be hardcore gaming. Thx in advance.

heard good things about both.. go for the cheaper one.. both are stable, if they both support the things you want to put on there, then by all means go for the cheaper one.

_Abit IS7-E
_P4 Northwood 2.8C Ghz HT
_Kingston 512 DDR400 Ram [2x 256]
_Radeon 9600XT
_SoundBlaster Audigy
_Awesome looking white plain case with cool green and red power/HD lights, and a newely acquired Intel P4 sticker!

I think the Gigabyte K8N Pro is the best one to get, it supports the 1600MHZ FSB of the Athlon 64's rather than just 800 which most motherboards support
