that's a very low end card, but i have gotten my 128 Fx5200 to play some nice games at medium settings, so i guess it'll do fine, but nowhere near great.

Screw that card. Get your self an Abit R9550-(V)Guru. It is an $80 and it comes with the new VGuru overclocking utility. Use that to achieve insane overclcoks and it should be able to easily outperform a Radeon 9600 Pro. I'm not an nVidia fan either. I like ATi much better due to driver stability and the performance even though ATi has really messed up the X series.
