ASUS P4C800-E-DX Hard Drive Problem...

I just bought a barebone computer with the p4c800-e-dx and a P4 3.2 GHZ FSB 800. I put a used/working hard drive in, and when i boot up, it says "No Hard Drive Attached to Fast Track Controller. The BIOS is not installed". Ok, the bios is installed because i can go into it, so the only other thing that means to me is that the BIOS must be installed onto the hard drive or something. If it helps its a Samsung 40 gb hard drive. If anyone can help that would be great, Thanks Cougar989

the computer recognizes the hard drive, as it show it in the bios. I changed the bios so it looks for IDE but it still doesn't work. The fast track error is gone.But now it is saying "Hard Disk is not found!-- BIOS is not installed". Does this mean i have to install something onto this hard drive to make it up to date or something? I may just get a new 120 gb maxtor and the people at etccomputers can get it working. Please help, thanks
