And another quick stupid question... what frequency does a pentiumIII processor run at base speed [not OCing]? I'm not too familiar with Intel CPU's.

yea running dual channel requires exact match in the manual.
That may be your dual channel problem. In fact i pretty much believe thats your prob.As far as 3dmark03 goes thats a pretty tuff test all around and your card is defenatly the bottleneck.
What type of memory did you purchase ?

i purchased Crucial pc3200

then i went back and purchased another one a month later, and just by looking at them, physically they are different.

so i guess you helped me narrow it down to the actual memory.

but on a good note, at least i can still use it in slots B1 & B2 together to achieve 1GB RAM.

so it's not a complete waste.

i was thinking of getting Mushkin Dual RAM , wonder if they'll work? or maybe i should just stick to Crucial, cause they rock!

Mushkin is decent memory == try the Ballistix "good stuff"
