Default Asus A7V333 CPU Options / BIOS

First post here on these forums. I'm a computer student and I thought I'd seek online help on a forum and google resulted this so here I am.

My first question is will a CPU with FSB 333 work on my A7V333 w/ FSB 266?

If not, then what's my best upgrade option on the CPU? Im looking to speed up my system with minimal cost. I love the A7V333 for its stable performance and upgrade option to just replace it with a more recent MB.

Also, with 1.02 defult BIOS atm, do I need to flash bios to use a higher speed CPU?

Right now my CPU is just AMB Ath XP 1700+ and bios defaults it at 1400... Would a BIOS update allow a higher clocking?

Thanks in advance to any advice, appreciate it.
