ARGHH, can't decide... amd vs. pentium

im a little uninitiated into the needs of power supplies as ive stated before, im in the process of shopping for a new case/PSU, sorry to post off topic in here but this has become a general sort of forum ground. im looking at the mge viper with 500W should that be good enough?

it's kind of old, but gives you an idea how much power each device takes, and how to figure out how big of rails you should look for.

well the problem is i am having trouble finding their official webpage and the newegg post for it obviously excludes such fine details... oh well, guess ill go through some more google pages on my 56k modem

the first doesnt meet nubius 12v recommendation it is only 20A and his was 28A if i remember correctly, the second has slightly lower other numbers but has 28A on the 12V

hold it, umm, i believe you can use an external hdd instead of an internal. my bios has the option to make an external hdd the first boot option, in the manual it also says i can boot the os from the external.
