Default Any Tips Before Discarding a MoBo???

I swapped the Mobo in my system about a 6 -8 months ago and since everything runs stable now I was wondering if there was anything I should try to salvage from my old motherboard before I discard it. Such as, the older MoBo had 3 memory slots which was expandable up to 3GB opposed to 2 slots and 2GB. Also, if there are some general tips for discarding that will be appreciated.

I migrated from a Gigabyte GA-7VTXE to a

In theory you should take it to a computer recycle center and not throw it in the trash.

If you mean physically salvage components from the motherboard ... well, you can't really. Maybe take the capacitors or the CMOS battery maybe, but there isn't really anything you can use.

Yeah, the capacitors went bad on the Gigabyte board thus buying the PCTools board. I'll try to find a computer recycle center around here.

Any recycle center that deals with electronics will be able to do it.
