When installing the 3200+ chip onto the mobo, do I just put the heatsink over it, and snap it in, or do I need to apply thermal grease?

Is it different than installing a P4? I never put any thermal grease on my 1.8 Ghz, and there hasn't been any problems. But I hear that I may need it for the AMD64 3200+

Thx in advance for taking the time to respond!

well u can put thermal grease on there if you want to, but AMD heatsinks have a thermal pad already on them. If you want to apply thermal grease, simply scrape the thermal pad off, making sure its all gone, then just apply a thin layer of the thermal grease.
