XP thoughobred is the core of XP processors that predecessed the Barton. Barton core is on all the newer XP chips and Barton is the better one. But more expensive.

hmmmm..........

Thoughobred has a 333mhz FSB, the Barton has a 400 (if using the right memory)

the bartons run at either 333Mhz or 400Mhz effective FSB. i know for sure at least 1 version of xp2500 barton is at 333Mhz FSB and the xp3000 has both a 333Mhz and 400Mhz FSB version. well actually newegg lists it as:

http://secure.newegg.com/app/Custrat...tem=19-103-381

but one reviewer mentioned it was a half cache crippled sledge hammer (http://secure.newegg.com/app/Custrat...tem=19-103-394)

for desktop there is only 1 flavor: 333Mhz effective FSB. this version is always a barton

the mobile version called XP-m 2500 for notebook computers has a 266Mhz effective FSB. i am not sure if this is barton core or not
