woohow! this poll is old!

anyway,..i like the p4....i had three...now its just the 2ghz and the 2.5ghz. but i'm about to build my first amd based pc. maybe before christmas....but this thread is old...haha!

Oooh, reviving old threads... but yeah, I used to be a die-hard AMD user, but my main system is a P4 now. I think I'll probably keep alternating between the two because I don't really care what brand it is as long as it's fast and (reasonably) cheap

well P4 have been tested against AMD XP and P4's outperformed them in all tests; it was 2.4 GHZ vs 2.4 GHZ, 3 GHZ vs 3 GHZ and all - even tests

AMD's are less expensive P4's perform better; it's up to you to decide whether you want to pay less or get better performance - you get what you pay for

p4s are now cheaper on the high-end (around 3GHz) so i would definately go with the P4, but i would go with them anywayz

well hyper-threading would make the CPU run a thigher temperatures so you'd need a better fan
