I *owned* an AMD Athlon XP 3000+, and recently UPGRADED to the Intel Pentium 4 2.8GHz (with H/T), and am a lot happier with it.

I've always been on Intel and decided to try the Athlon, only to find how bad it performed.

It may have been the motherboard, who knows. All I do know is that the Intel works a lot better for me now.
Intel P4 2.8GHz H/T
1.5GB PC2700
160GB HD
Windows XP Professional

I really like Intel personally. AMDs have more problems in my experience.

Windows XP PRO:$0, Visual Studio 6:$0, Age of Empires 2:$0, Halo:$0.
Having $100s in free MS software while people are being sued over $.99 songs: Priceless
