Question AMD Thunderbird 1.2Ghz Temperature

I am running a AMD Thunderbird 1.2Ghz and i want to know what is the max temperature it can handle or what is should be at, currently i am using about 10% CPU usage and it is at 55ºC, i used to have the case sides off and it was about 45 ish, personally i think this is abit high and it kinda worryin. AMDs are capable of running at higher temperatures that Intel CPUs though arnt they?

Thanks in adv.

I've just read somewhere that 95ºC is the critical temperature does that sound crazy to anyone else?

If that is correct then should be safe, well i hope so.
