Default AMD Procs

Im gonna buy a new proc tomorrow but I dont know what to buy. What is the difference between an AMD Athlon xp2600+ and a AMD Athlon "barton" 2600+.

Thats the barton and it seems to be the same if not better than a regular 2600+

The barton is 6$ more and comes with package, heatsink, and fan and its cache speed is 512 vs 256.

I have a 100$ to spend on a new proc is that the best deal for the money?

So even though the Operating Frequency is is 1.9ghz with the barton and 2.08ghz on the non barton, I should get the Barton because it has the better Cache at 512 vs 256?

or save yourself 20 bucks or whatever by getting a 2500+, no point in paying 20 dollars for .07Ghz more... would notice absolutly no difference..
