AMD processor in a box (PIB) warranty tidbit

I think both Intel and AMD have for a long time stated in their warranty disclaimers that the warranty is void if you don't use the stock heatsink. I don't think it's anything dramatic, it makes perfect sense. Why should they warranty their product to work with a third party product? It opens a whole legal can of worms. What if a particular heatsink required you to drill into the IHS or something like that? They have to have lines like that to stop themselves from being open to liability for someone elses fault.
