amd athnlon

regardless of price, which athlon 64 will overclock to the highest level? the 3200, 3500, 3700, or 3800?

Apokalipse 05-26-2005 07:31 PM

any Athlon 64 Venice will voerclock really well

jm85 05-26-2005 07:35 PM

is overclocking the way to go then? i dont want to sacrifice stability for a few extra mghz..

turtile 05-26-2005 07:38 PM

3500

jm85 05-26-2005 07:40 PM

so the best to get for overclocking is the 3500 e venice?

diabloII 05-26-2005 07:48 PM

just go with a 3200

they can probasbly OC to the extent of a 3500 anyways and that xtra cost doesn't really justify its xtra speed

DJ-CHRIS 05-26-2005 07:55 PM

Any venice core CPU 3200+ and above.

thanks for the info.. on a second note.. ive never overclocked in my life.. woudl it be difficult to do a good overclock for the first time on the athlon 3200 e. venice?

SteveGTA 05-26-2005 08:03 PM

no just read up on it and make sure you get good ram.

PizzatheHut06 05-26-2005 08:07 PM

I honestly don't understand why everyone feels the need to overclock. A stock AMD Athlon 64 3200+ is plenty fast.
