Default AMD athlon x2 news

I thought nubius and gaara would beat me to this already, but I've waited 4 hrs so I'm gunna go ahead and post it.

http://news.techwhack.com/1327/01060...x2-processors/

Check google news for about 100 other articles; possibly w/ more information...my interenet wasn't working too well...

Nothing new, it basically says that AMD's better than Intel for a bunch of reasons. No release dates or anything...

They'll be hitting the market soon. I think the supporting companies get mass packages of chips to include in their new computers soon. Shouldn't be long before thier on newegg.

BTW prices are about $500 for the worst one...the 4200+
and a $1000 for the best one...the 4800+.
I also believe there is a model inbetween as well.

If you play games, i wouldnt think you would see much of a difference with duel cores

You wont yet because no games support dual core, however soon games will be supporting duel core, 64bit and SLI. **** is going to be fast, very fast, soon.

Maybe not for games, but if you like multitasking on your floating point operations: like encoding to divix and and processing mp3's at the same time you'll get some large enhancements in performance.
