Default AMD Athlon 64 X2

Are the dual core athlon cpu's compatible with all socket 939/AMD Athlon 64 motherboards?

Nope. Not all. Those that can support 90nm AMD 64s, or FXs mostly can support with a bios update

yes with a bios upgrade they should.I read not all will if you want check with the manufacturer.

Yes all the 939 board's are capabul (sp?) of supporting X2's with a BIOS FLASH.
