Default AMD 64 Bit on socket 939

I'm looking to buy a new computer in the near future, build it custom of course. But I do need it by the summer. With all the new technologies coming out (DDR2, PCI Express), I want to wait for them all to come out so I don't have to upgrade again in a year. Will all these new technologies come out by the summer?

so it's worth sticking with DDR1 for now, and PCI express may or may not perform really super like they're saying it will - just like games that look like they're going to be really big, and end up sucking
