amd 64-bit

i stumbled across this thread, which says how some of the amds are actually 48-bit, and only the fx is true 64-bit . . .

no. i don't think there are any 48bit processors. we have been using 32-bit processing for years, and are going into 64-bit.

no there was some rumors of the regular amd 64s (non-fx) that were not TRUE 64-bit . . .

Yeah - May as well... 754 is only going to be around for another year or so...

there is no 48-bit computing, and a true 64-bit application interface isnt possible even, as u can only get O/S as 64-bit compatible, though are backward compatible with 32-bit.

FX has double amount of integrated northbridge @ 128-Bit, so its obviously faster.
