HI guys 'n gals,

I just brought myself a ATI Radeon Sapphire 9800 pro 128mb 256bit vid card.

I had a fair bit of trouble getting it to run with 8X AGP, as seeems usual, but now have that working.

Testing on 3DMark 2001 I'm getting a score of 11332 with 1024 x 768 - 32bit - 60Hz.

Looking around the net that seems low.....

Can anyone help me, I'm using Catalyst drivers v4.4.

My specs are:
MSI mb
CPU - XP2000
Ram - 1024mb DDR
80gb HD
Windows XP pro

Cheers for any ideas that might be forthcoming!

Pedro.

Cheers Firewire,

Windows is updated... but as for the mb, I'm not sure. I'll check the MSI website and download the lastest drivers. Hmmm.... I did have to reload the 4 in1 drivers to be able to get the 8x AGP to work on the card... so I guess they won't be the lastest drivers!

Thanks mate,
Pedro.

i have a question for you: Do you like to overclock? and if u do i would suggest the omega drivers for overclocking that will get the best out of your card too

Cheers Overclocker1,

Haven't overclocked anything... YET!

I did try the Omega drivers and were VERY impressed with the overclocking features! Still, I don't want to overclock the card until such time as I'm sure I'm getting everything from it bog standard.

What I'd really like to know is whether that 3dmark 2001 score of 11332 is acceptable.

Cheers,
Pedro.

:D LOL, hopefully it'll be good....... but I'm thinking it'll be goo.....

I've seen guys with 256mb cards getting 20,000 plus!

I figure 11332 for a 128mb 256bit is a little low :(

Pedro.

Athlon Xp 2400+
1 GB PC 2700 DDR Ram
Radeon 9800xt 128mb
