Default AIM Replacement

Anyone know of a good AIM replacement? I've had and was thinking about getting Trillian. It's abit bulky though, takes up alot of space too(which is something I don't). It also eats up resources(which is something I don't have). I don't need one of those programs that comes bundled with accesibility to AIM, MSN, ICQ, YAHOO, etc. Just an AIM replacement. Real AIM or w.e. comes bundled with ads and adware, so I don't want that. If nothing else is out there, then I guess I'll just use Trillian. Thanks.

I disagree with you Trillian is great.

Gaim may be the best on Linux but having it exported to windows is not ideal.
