For some reason my comp wont turn on for more than 3 seconds but when I unhook the psu and rehook it up it stays on and it does the same thing after i turn it off!!!! I even just bought a new motherboard with a new p4.

reset your bios on the bord, see if it auto detects it or not.

Make sure that the new MB knows about the cpu and that its detecting it properly, you might have to set it in manually.

just wondering, is the power turning off on this computer????? or does it actually shut down....

make sure that when you installed the new MB that you put the spacers under the board, you could be shorting out the bord, that will cause the power failure....
