Default after gaming

when i'm tired of getting my but stomped in Men of Valor, i go thru the steps of quiting the game.
ok here's the weird part, i'm back at the desktop and the f'n sceen flickers off and on. the moinitor is on. the only way to stop it is to shut the computer down.

it's got to be the video card right

i've tried to restart it but, as soon as it came back up it started all over again

this doen't just happen with Men of Valor, also with doom3, unreal tournament 2004, and Painkiller.

everyone already know's what card i have

yip i have the XFX GeForce FX 5200 128mb AGP

so do i need a new card now, or whats going on

and thanks for you time

Try to re-install your videocard drivers.

maybe the resolution you have your game set at.. your card can't handle, or isn't supposed to or something, and when it tries to change resolutions back to the desktop, it flickers?.. perhaps *shrugs* but do what major said first.
