Question Advice on Optical Drives

Ok then...

Building a new system and would like to know what two drives to start with. I am thinking of DVD Rom drive and CDRW. My question is can a dvd rom drive read cdroms? will I be able to play music cd's in the dvd rom or burn a music cd in my dvd rom to my cdrw? Thanks!

Yes. DVD-ROMS read DVDs, read CDs, and write CDs.

Just buy a DVDRW and have one drive that can do it all. Probably will work out cheaper!

How can I copy a music cd to another drive with only one drive? I assume it copies it to a spot on the hardrive to be written later on a cdrw? Tell me what options you think is cool for optical drives and any links that might be worth avisit on the subject.
Thanks!

To copy a music CD, get a proper CD copying program... Nero \ Roxio or something like that. When it copies, it will put a CD-image on your hard drive then burn it to your fresh CD. Optical drives all you need is DVDRW it does everything!
