Default Advantage of USB Keyboard

Why would I want to get a USB keyboard over a PS/2¿ I'm trying to find a way that will allow for more buttons being pushed on the keyboard at once (the softeare recognizing it). Does anyone know if USB helps out here?

I dont see any advantages of having a usb keyboard, it does not need fast transfer rates like a mouse (so its smoother) I think it just takes up one usb port and there is no point in haveing one. I dont think so (the second question).

I think that answers my questions. I had just been having problems pushing too many buttons at a time in games. Probably just the games I was playing. Oh well...
