Hi,
I'm adding a second SATA drive to my HP machine.
When I put it in, it's recognized by BIOS, but either the DVDROM, CDROM, or both disappear from BIOS.
There are 4 SATA slots in the motherboard. SATA slot 1 is taken up by the primary drive. I've tried putting the second drive into slots 2, 3, or 4, but no matter where I put it, the one or both of the IDE drives (CD-ROM or DVD) go bye-bye.
The drive is a Maxtor jumperless SATA drive... anyone have any ideas what I'm missing here. Thanks.
