acer hard drive - HELP PLEASE

am having trouble with my acer aspire 1350
i would like to format my hard drive but am unable to boot the windows disk from the setup menu and do not know why???? can anybody help me please as i need my lap top and it appears to have 1001 virus' on it

check your settings in the bios.
in order to boot from the cd-rom, you must have priority one your cd-rom drive. in order to do this, check your motherboard manual on how you boot from cd-drive.

adjust bios to make sure that ur first boot option is ur floppy disk drive or whatever want to boot from and make ur hard disk option 2 or 3
