Without any softmodding, the 9800 SE is still faster. Softmodding the 128-bit bus 9800 SE will result in a 9500 Pro (which is by all means faster than the 9600 XT), and the 256-bit 9800 SE can be turned into a 9800 NP.

I judge you when you use poor grammar.

Try modding the 9800 SE into a 9800 Pro. Use this guide:

It might not work, but then you can just as well use your 9600 Pro instead. It will be worth it if it works.

Athlon 64 @ 2.3 ghz
Chaintech mobo
9800 Pro
1 gig RAM
2x 160 gig sata
Audigy 2 zs
