Question About my Sempron Processor and Memory

Guys help please.... I have a minor(or it will be a MAJOR problem soon....) my PC is having a VXD error on some games [e.g Counter-Strike, Red Alert:Yuri's Revenge] the specs of my PC is:

Processor: AMD Sempron +2200
Memory: 256 DDR PC 400
Hardisk: Seagate 40 GB 5400 rpm
AGP: Inno 3D GeForce 4 128MB 64bit
Motherboard: ECS L7VTA2 [w/ built in Souncard/LAN/USB 2.0 etc...]

Do I need to change my PC's Memory to 256DDR PC266 ..? because In my best knowledge on VXD error is that it is a memory problem...

and BTW I changed jumper set my PC to Sempron 900Mhz (from 166 downgrade to 100[loose all the power T_T ]) to stabilize the PC in CS and RA:yuri but I cant play other games that need much more Processor Power...?

thanks in advance for the replies ^_^
