i just got an abit Abit BE7-II 845PE Intel Socket 478 ATX Motherboard and Intel Celeron 2.7GHz Processor at TigerDirect.com for this guy I am upgrading a computer for and hey its fine. Good enough for him. Hell good enough for me. 300$ will get you that and 512mb ddr. I guess the motherboard would prolly be around 60 since its was $180 or something.

If I am correct, all the NF7 Series boards support the 400Mhz FSB. Also, $100 is way to much for an NF7 board, don't buy it on eBay. There are a few NF7 boards you can concider. Each board, has different features, but they are all basically the same. I picked up an NF7-S because it had onboard 6.1 Surround Audio, and Optical outs. If I were you I would look at the NF7-SG2.

yes. You want NF7-S2 because the first version is a little buggy or so I hear anyway. I'm sure others will post saying they've had no troubles, but still. It'd be better off to stick with atleast NF7-S2

go here:

http://www.zipzoomfly.com/jsp/Produc...uctCode=240143

and you can get that board upgraded for free up to the NF7-S2G but right now they got it out of stock =/ Just went too cause I've been watching and waiting until I can buy it next week. Only $77 there.

EDIT: Dang didn't realize I took so long....blackmoore meant the NF7-S2G not SG2 which is basically what I linked you to. That has the 6.1 Audio sound and gigabit lan card with it and all that good stuff.

I suggest making sure you get NF7-S2 not simply just NF7-S or it'll say NF7-Sv.2 or something like that. Just look for VERSION 2 is your main goal there.
