Default A940 error code

hi guys



ive installed a new black ink cartridge for my printer and it comes up in the lcd display error code 50c ive unplugged the power cord and put it in again, cleaned the connectors and i still get the error any help

What type of Printer? Is this manufacruter ink replacement or some aftermarket stuff?

Need to know some info before we can be of any help.

printer is a dell A940 its a remanufactured one ive cleaned the connectors and the nozzles and still it says error

Yet again. Is this a ink cartridge specifically for the Dell Printer or is it a aftermarket refill ink cartridge?

1. Make sure the printer is turned on.
2. Lift the printer's front cover.

NOTE: The ink cartridge should be in the up/loading position unless the printer is busy.

1. Squeeze the tabs on the cartridge lids and lift the cartridge lids up. The cartridge pops up when the lid is fully lifted.
2. Remove the cartridges.
3. Check and make sure that all of the protective tape has been removed from the contacts on the ink cartridge.
4. Replace the cartridges.
5. Snap the lids closed.
6. Close the printer's front cover.
7. When prompted on the printer's LCD to choose New or Old, choose Old.
8. Press the Select button.

i install the new ink cartridge ok but it doesnt ask me if its New or Old all comes up on the lcd panel is Error 50C
