im about to build my new comp but dont have one of the static braclets things. would wearing rubber gloves help? i heard about touching the case to ground yourself. do you only need to touch it once or hold ontto to it whenever your messing w/ the comp?

Don't worry about static if your not on carpet and working on a hard surface such as a counter or table.

basicalloy u answered your on question. it is not necessary to be grounded the entire time but propbably better, i suggest like you sed touch the case every now and then to ground yourself. just be particularly careful with the hdd mother board and cpu

It's never a bad idea to use an anti-static strap when working on a computer. You can get them at CompUSA, NewEgg, and even Radio Shack.

taking my old comp apart getting ready to put the new stuff in the case. what can i put all the old parts on so they dont get damaged? dont think theres enough room in the old mobo bad to fit everything. was thinking and saw some og the sheets you out in the dryer to get rid of the static. would it be safe to but everything on some of those?
