Watch out as the sub 285 cards are almost always 128 bit. These mean the memory is half the speed. This is half peformance.

The lowest I have ever seen a 9800 Pro (saphire) retail is 267, so I am guessing this is a 128 bit.

Find out if it is or not, if it's 256 bit memory, buy it. It it isnt, buy a 6600GT.

Doom 3 was a bad game.

I would go with the 9800pro, it comes with hl2 and you can upgrade again soon in the future because you didnt spend that much this time. I like to upgrade often and in small steps when it comes to video cards.

What card do you have in your pc now?
