Default 939 dual core vs single core

heres my spec

asus a8n-sli premium

xfx 6800 gt video card (2)

2 mb ram

my questions is this should I get dual processor or single processor

some newegg reviewers had bad things to say about dual core for gaming

yes it will be a gaming rig

and I have never oc anything and dont intend too

power supply is antex 550w

Right now games run better on single, but I'd get dual core if I were you for the future. Games will be designed for dual core soon.

yes, dual core, they got alil more kick to the ghz than a single core

mines awsome for games, but thats not the only thing i do with my pc. the only downside is my X2 4400+ gets the same game proformance rating as my old 64 3700+. And theres a huge price difference......o well.
