Default 8900gts power requirements

I was wondering whether anyone knew whether this card would need 1 or 2 pci-e power cables. thanks

I'm assuming you meant the 8800GTS, because the 89xx series aren't out yet. The 8800GTS requires only one PCI-e power connection.

He probably did mean the 8900gts. No one talks about whats actually out for sale anymore, thats so old school...

lol yer i meant 8900gts, was just wondering whther any1 had an idea on what the requirements would be as I am interested in this card when it comes out.

my guess would be a single power connection based on the fact they would want to keep similar characteristics to the 8800GTS, especially in terms of power requirement as it will eventually replace it.

Judging from the supposed specs of the 8900 series, I'd GUESS the power supply for an 8900gtx would be maybe 50-100w more than an 8800gtx, similarly for the 8800gtx and 8900gts etc.... Dont quote me on this though...only a speculation.
