Nubius Golden Master Messages 11,599 Feb 14, 2005 #5 I know, that's a given, but it's an attempt at an OC'ing world record. Look what thread they have it in...Xtreme Overclocking not 'Xtreme Hardware'

S switch In Runtime Messages 106 Feb 14, 2005 #7 Do you think that if he saved the BIOS settings that it would even boot? I bet that chip would default, and not even get past the initial boot screen. And even if it did,..Intel's CPU temp protection should shut that down within a few seconds. You might be able to keep that thing cool in a tank or liquid nitrogen, that is probably about it though, LOL. Give the CPU makers till,..oh,... 2008, and we might actually see a production PC with 7.2 Ghz clock speed

2 24/7 Gamer In Runtime Messages 134 Feb 14, 2005 #8 Think how fast it would be though as long as hes got the RAM to go with. Windows would have a boot time of 5 seconds lol. We won't be seeing 7.2Ghz processors at stock for a long time yet. I'll stick to my 3400+
