Default which 6800gt to buy??

getting ready to buy, narrowed it down to 2 brands. BFG and eVGA. i found both for about $550 (CAN) with Doom 3. which is better quality and which is easier to oc?? do i need softmods or hardmods to oc either??

eVGA will be better performing and most likely easier to overclock.

eVGA

Requires no soft or hard modding unless you want to flash the BIOS so that it reads as an Ultra when you boot up. Other than that it can easily be OC'd to and possibly past that of Ultra speeds.

How would you go about flashing the BIOS to get it to read as ultra ?

get some sort of utility that can flash the card with the ultra's bios...

eVGA for me or if you really want to flash a 6800gt to an ultra get a Gainwood golden sample. I find that these are one of the easiest cards to flash to a 6800 ultra but the eVGA should do aswell.
