Default 6600gt

Just came in. Why does it show the core at 300? It should be 500. Anyone?

if you want to fry it, sure go ahead... but it is 2d mode... my 6600GT came with a program, and it has a 2d clock, 3d clock, and mem clock... it's fine the way it came...

2d mode = windows
3d = games.......if you think you needa 500Mhz core just for windows then so be it, but all you're doing is stressing your card and heating it up.

In the future it's generally better to ask about things that you don't know........not do something, ask why it wasn't a certain way, then find out whats gone on only after you've done it.
